Consumer Assistance Program (CAP) Eligibility Checklist

 -- NorCal Auto completes --

˜     Vehicle is clean and clear of all trash and has been vacuumed

˜     Customer has removed all personal items, electronics, etc.

˜     Engine oil level is correct – top off will be paid by customer

˜     Vehicle does not leak excessive engine oil

·      Vehicles with excessive fluid leaks will be refused service eg(coolant, power steering fluid, brake fluid, etc.)

˜     Vehicle has ½ tank of fuel

˜     Vehicle is currently insured

˜     Vehicle is currently registered or “RED” DMV registration sticker

 

Consumer Assistance Program (CAP) Shop Policies

It is shop policy that vehicles will not leave NorCal Auto from time of intake to time of completion. NO Exceptions!

1996 and newer model year vehicles with OBDII will need a drive cycle once repairs are complete. Although CAP allows for a consumer to complete this, NorCal Auto policy dictates that the technician must complete this procedure, this cost will be paid by the consumer.

Completed vehicles will be picked up 24 hours from completion, storage fees apply to vehicles left after 24 hours and charged to the customer.

Consumer Assistance Program (CAP) Customer Sign Off

 

I authorize NorCal Auto to keep my vehicle for up to 2 weeks for diagnostic, repairs, and CAP approval. Initial__________

 

I authorize NorCal Auto to perform an OBDII “drive cycle” when applicable for the sum of $100. Initial__________

 

I am aware my vehicle needs to be picked up within 24 hours from completion, or I will be charged $100/night storage fee Initial________

(vehicles completed on Friday, will need to be picked on Monday, fees will be applied thereafter)

 

I am aware that I am responsible for 100 percent of the total cost of diagnosis and authorized repair’s on the authorized estimate/ work order if CAP declines payment to NorCal Auto. Failure to pay total amount of invoice at time of completion will result in vehicle lien sale process.

NorCal Auto is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles or articles left in vehicles in case of fire, theft, accident, or any other cause beyond our control.
